  • Do I need a boating license to drive a boat?
    You do not need a California boating card to drive our boats but it is highly recommended. We do require driving experince on a similar boat and if you’re going into the ocean, we require ocean experince. We are more than happy to offer a captain at an affordable price.
  • Can I bring food and or alcohol?
    Yes! Try not to bring glass and keep in mind it’s a white boat and wine stains very easily. Check our best boating food blog for more info.
  • Can I bring my furry best friend?
    We love dogs! You definitely can bring your pet. Take a look at our blog about bringing your pets.
  • Can we fish or go swimming?
    You cannot go swimming or fishing in the harbor per USCG laws but you can definitely do it outside of the harbor. The most popular spot is Emerald Bay or "E-Bay" as the locals say it and it is a 15 min drive from the harbor.
  • Do you offer training to drive a boat?
    Yes! We have licensed professional captains that can teach you everything you need to know about boating.
  • What is the age limit for wearing life jackets?
    Age 13 years and below must always wear life jackets, even infants. We have life jackets for all passengers on board all our boats.
  • Can you dock and dine at restaurants in Newport Harbor?
    Yes! Woody's Wharf restaurant is the most popular for local boaters, but there are plenty of places our captains know that serve food and drinks to your boat for a great price.
  • How old do you need to be to rent a boat?
    You must be 21 or older to rent the boat with a valid driver license. Please bring driver license with you.
  • Who needs to sign the waivers?
    The renter needs to sign the rental waiver and every passenger needs to sing the release of liability waiver.
  • What is the most people you can bring on the boat?
    Currently we a boat that can fit up to 12 passengers and that includes all human beings.
  • What's the cancellation policy?
    Customers will receive a full refund or credit for cancellations with a minimum of 72 hours' notice prior to the start time of the reservation. Customers will also receive a full refund or credit in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Contact us by email to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-shows will be charged the full price.
